In July 2021, with the support of the Christchurch City Council, Everyone an Artist Trust and a group of artists from the New Zealand - China Union of Culture and Arts started their art camp to the West Coast Glaciers, drawing from the stunning nature of the Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki, Fox Glaciers and Franz Josef Glacier.
They had workshops about artwork appreciation every night, communicating and sharing ideas on their artistic creation during the day.
Art is a meaningful approach for people to stay connected and an effective way for older artists to fulfill their life.
The artwork created will be exhibited at the Arts Centre at the end of the year. All artists are looking forward to the exhibition and future art camps.
