During this school holiday, Everyone an Artist Trust is partnering with the Parents Connect Group of Christchurch to have conducted art workshops for parents and kids. The workshops aim to establish a quality connection between parents and kids and to help the families become environmental citizens in their daily lives. Artists from the New Zealand - China Union of culture and Arts and the Indian community were invited to provide professional artistic tutoring during the workshops. A group of artists from the NZCUCA also contributed to the workshops as volunteers.
We are going to have several other creative workshops in terms of raising public awareness of environmental protection and climate change, such as recycled paper making, collection and drawing on rocks, and artistic creation using natural materials.
